1. Who we are
Snootiki is operated by Future Plane Studio LLC, doing business as Snootiki, in Mississippi. In this policy, “Snootiki,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Future Plane Studio LLC.
Questions, privacy requests, and concerns may be sent to joe@snootiki.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy describes how Snootiki collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information when you visit snootiki.com, create an account or pet page, order a Snootikey, contact us, or interact with a shared page.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: your email address, and any Snootiki name or profile picture you choose to add.
- Pet-page content: pet names, photographs, videos, captions, stories, dedications, style choices, page settings, and other material you choose to add.
- Order information: the product and color selected, payment status, customer email, recipient name, shipping address, tracking information, and order history. Payment-card details are collected and processed by Stripe rather than stored by Snootiki.
- Communications: information included when you email us or ask for support.
- Optional updates: your email address and signup time when you choose to receive Buttercup’s Gazette.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in and security information: first-party cookies that keep you signed in, complete a magic-link sign-in, and protect the service.
- Page reactions: a random first-party visitor identifier used to limit a visitor to one treat or flower on a page. Snootiki stores a one-way hash of that identifier with the reaction.
- Browser storage: your sound preference and, in some flows, draft or private editing information saved on your device.
- Technical information: our hosting and security providers may process an IP address, browser and device information, request time, and requested page to deliver and protect the site.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to create and maintain accounts; save, publish, and display pet pages; process orders and replacements; send sign-in, order, and shipping messages; send Buttercup’s Gazette when you separately choose to receive it; provide support; prevent duplicate reactions, fraud, abuse, and security incidents; maintain and improve Snootiki; comply with law; and enforce our policies.
We do not use personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
5. Shared and public pet pages
Draft pages are private. When you publish a Snootiki, anyone with the Snootikey or direct link can view the live page and the content you placed on it. Live pages are unlisted by default, but a link may be copied, forwarded, posted, or opened by another person. Please do not publish private information or material you do not have permission to share.
Memorial Garden and Welcome Parade participation is optional. A page appears in those community features only when its owner turns on the applicable setting, and the owner may turn that setting off later.
6. When we disclose information
We disclose only the information reasonably needed for the following purposes:
- Service providers: Cloudflare helps host the site and store data and media; Supabase provides magic-link authentication; Stripe processes checkout and payment; and Resend delivers shipping email.
- Order delivery: shipping information may be provided to postal and delivery carriers.
- Safety and law: we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect a person, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect Snootiki and its users.
- Business changes: information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. Snootiki does not allow them to use your information for Snootiki-targeted advertising.
7. Cookies and device storage
| Technology | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|
| Account session cookie | Keeps you securely signed in | Up to 180 days and may renew while the account is in use |
| Pending sign-in cookie | Completes magic-link sign-in | Up to 15 minutes |
| Visitor reaction cookie | Limits duplicate treats or flowers | Up to one year |
| Local browser storage | Remembers sound and applicable draft/editing preferences | Until cleared in your browser or removed by the applicable feature |
Snootiki currently uses no third-party advertising cookies or advertising pixels.
8. How long we keep information
We retain account information and pet-page content while the account or page remains active and for a reasonable period afterward to complete requests, maintain backups, prevent fraud, or resolve disputes. Order and transaction records may be kept as needed for fulfillment, accounting, tax, warranty, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes. Security and technical records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose.
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it. Copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
You may edit pet-page content and community-sharing settings through your account. You may also ask to access, correct, receive a copy of, or delete your personal information or account by emailing joe@snootiki.com from the address connected to your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Buttercup’s Gazette is optional. You may unsubscribe from it at any time without affecting your Snootiki account, orders, or pet pages.
Deleting information may be limited when retention is reasonably necessary to complete an order, maintain required business records, protect security, resolve a dispute, or comply with law. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.
10. Children’s privacy
Snootiki accounts and purchases are intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow a child under 13 to create an account or knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Snootiki, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
An adult who uploads a photograph, video, or other content containing another person—including a child—must have permission to share it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls, restricted administrative tools, secure session cookies, and established payment and authentication providers. No website or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
12. United States service
Snootiki currently serves and ships within the United States. Information is processed in the United States and in locations used by our service providers.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Snootiki changes. The revised policy will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
